Feb. 9 2021 - Kitchen Island ideas for the ends

I made my kitchen island a few months ago.  

First one so there are mistakes; but, I'm working WITH them.  I cut the counter top too short so I'm imagining adding some type of ends?  or maybe just nothing.  I was going to order another 8' x 4' piece however that'll look weird with 1.5" length sides and 3/4" side sides.  

I had enough space for 4 chairs; but, I'm totally in to utilizing as much space as possible so i added a book shelf on one end and a wine rack on the other.

Now, back to utilizing as much space as possible...I know I'll never have a need for 20 bottles of wine so i took out the last 3 racks and made an area for veggie baskets!  I LOVE it!

I'll make some cute basket liners too.  I was looking for baskets on Amazon; but, that would have been about 80$ so I just ran to Ocean Lots and bought 4 for $12.  (this is so fun)

K.  That's it for today.  well...today i'm starting the tile project in the shower.  Let me tell you; I'm petrified.

I tried to set this up in WordPress; but, I'm too impatient to figure that site out.  But I've been using blogger for years so here we are.

I'll be using this site to track my entire process & progress of renovating this 2 story school house.

I'm not a contractor, plumber, electrician or even a wood worker.  I'm a 54 year old chiquita who's going to attempt this project, basically, on my own (minus expertise-level requirements).  I'll be skirting around my 2 pitties who want to help but they literally have ZERO reno experience.  As opposed to my 4%.
